DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. William L. Meredith, 26, of Virginia Beach, Va., died September 21st in Kandahar, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 569th Engineer Company, 4th Engineer Battalion, Fort Carson, Colo.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of an airman who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Tech Sgt. James R Hornbarger, 33, of Castle Rock, Wash., died September 12th as a result of a non-hostile incident in the Mediterranean. He was assigned to the 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Beale Air Force Base, Calif.
