* SKYNews.com brings us this troubling news out of Israel today and their report starts off like this... An Israeli teenager has been critically injured after an anti tank missile was fired at his school bus... The school bus was near the end of its round and had dropped off most of its passengers, when the anti tank missile struck... A 16-year-old boy was the only remaining passenger on board. He was critically wounded and had to be flown by military helicopter to hospital... The driver sustained only minor injuries... Alon Shuster, head of the Israeli council which flanks the Gaza border, described the attack on the bus as "barbaric."...

Two people were wounded on Thursday, 7 April 2011, by an anti-tank missile launched from the Gaza Strip at a yellow school bus near the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council. One of the injured, a 16 year-old boy, is in critical condition. He was airlifted to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he is currently being treated for severe trauma. The driver was lightly wounded. The teenager had been visiting his grandmother for a few days, and went for a ride with the bus driver, who is a friend of the family... Israel Police have sealed off all the roads in the area due to the threat of additional rocket fire, and have requested all civilians to remain in their homes... The IDF reports that 45 rockets and mortars were fired at the Israeli home front from the Gaza Strip within three hours on Thursday afternoon...

Residents in Ashkelon reported Thursday seeing Israel's new Iron Dome defense system intercept a Grad rocket fired towards the southern city from the Gaza Strip... An Israeli missile system intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza in the first known use of Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile shield... The new weapon, deployed last month to protect southern Israel, was launched as fighting flared with Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip after militants fired an anti-tank weapon which hit an Israeli school bus, injuring two people... Two intercept missiles were fired at the rocket which appeared to be heading towards the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon, just north of the enclave...
