About Photo: S117-E-07264 (13 June 2007) --- Astronauts Steven Swanson and Patrick Forrester (out of frame), both STS-117 mission specialists, participate in the mission's second planned session of extravehicular activity (EVA), as construction resumes on the International Space Station. Among other tasks, Forrester and Swanson removed all of the launch locks holding the 10-foot-wide solar alpha rotary joint in place and began the solar array retraction.

STS-117 Mission Specialists Patrick Forrester and Steven Swanson will continue to activate the International Space Station’s new truss segment during STS-117's fourth and last spacewalk today. The spacewalk is scheduled to last around 6 hours...

About Photo: Astronauts Jim Reilly and John Olivas (visible among Reilly's helmet reflections), both STS-117 mission specialists... participate in the mission's first planned session of extravehicular activity, resuming construction on the ISS. Among other tasks, Reilly and Olivas connected power, data and cooling cables between S1 and S3.

STS-117 Mission Specialists Jim Reilly and Danny Olivas will tackle separate tasks today when they begin the mission’s third spacewalk.
.
Olivas’ first task of the spacewalk, scheduled to begin at 1:38 p.m. EDT, is the repair of a thermal blanket that is out of position on space shuttle Atlantis. Working from the end of the Atlantis’ robot arm, he will tuck the blanket back into position and then staple it back into position on the left orbital maneuvering system pod.

Meanwhile, Reilly will install a hydrogen vent on the International Space Station’s Destiny Laboratory. The vent is for a new oxygen generation system.

The duo will then go to the top of the station’s Port (P6) truss to assist in the retraction of a solar array...
.
If time allows, Reilly and Olivas will tackle other tasks outside the station. The spacewalk is scheduled to last 6½ hours...

And should conclude around 8:00 pm EDT

Note: The spacewalk officially began today at 1:24 pm EDT and the 7-hour, 58-minute excursion wrapped up at 9:22 pm EDT

STS-117 astronauts enjoyed a few hours of off duty time before beginning preparations for the mission’s second spacewalk today. Mission Specialists Steve Swanson and Pat Forrester will do the second spacewalk in which they will continue the activation of the S3/S4 and assist in the retraction of the starboard solar array on the Port 6 (P6) truss.

2nd Spacewalk is slated to begin at: 2:03 pm EDT
And should conclude around 8:58 pm EDT
