The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Leroy O. Webster, 28, of Sioux Falls, S.D., died April 25th near Kirkuk, Iraq, after being shot while on a dismounted patrol. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
