Win or Lose this War Now

After President Bush vetoes the War Funding Bill that will soon be coming across his desk... Democrats like John Murtha say they will then consider a bill that would only fund the war for just two or three months... thereby forcing Congress, the President, the American people, the troops and our enemies to revisit the issue again this summer.

A good discussion on all these issues is a good thing to have... but there comes a time to either put up or shut up and now is one of those times.

Mr. President... Veto any of these Political Talking Point Bills, (War Funding Bills,) that might come across your desk in the next few weeks... and let those in Congress know it in advance.

Come out and firmly tell them to either fight this war or to shut it down completely... but one way or the other... do it now.

Enough of all this talking from the Hill... It’s now time for some real leadership... for some real backbone... for some real decisions to be made.

This war needs to either be won or lost in Congress in the next few weeks. This should be made clear to the all the Democrats in both the House and the Senate and to all those white flag wavers in the Republican Party too.

Mr. President... Do not let these men and women in Congress be able to weasel out of their votes for losing this war in Iraq. Let each and every one of them know that their votes will be made famous and broadcast around the world for all the peoples to see. Call them out Mr. President...

Along with the American people, our fighting men and women need to know... one way or the other... if this war is already lost to the votes of Congress... and yesterday would not have been soon enough either...
