Astronaut Walter M. Schirra Passes at 84 
Astronaut Walter Schirra was one of the original Mercury Seven Astronauts and was the only man to fly in all three of NASA’s programs, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo.
Schirra died Thursday of a heart attack at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla, CA. He was 84 years old.
