The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Cpl. Ryan C. McGhee, 21, of Fredericksburg, Va., died May 13th from wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with enemy forces while conducting combat operations in Central Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, Ga.
