* The Telegraph had the following troubling news Sunday Afternoon and it starts of like this… Israel declared that
international talks with Iran on its nuclear program had failed as it demanded
a deadline of "just a few weeks" be handed down to Tehran to scrap
its atomic build-up... It emerged that new intelligence shared with Israel by
the West indicated that Iran had moved several steps closer to developing a
nuclear warhead that could be fitted on the Shahab-3 missile… According to an unidentified official, new
intelligence obtained by Israel, the United States and other Western states
shows that Iran's development of a nuclear weapon is progressing far beyond the
scope reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency…

* FT.com had
this take on the news out of Israel Sunday… After months of relative quiet, speculation over
an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities is once again sharply on the

discussing the prospect of a military strike with greater urgency than ever.

* The New York Times had this report posted on their website late
Sunday and it goes in part like this.
…Referring to the Iran negotiations led by the
five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany, the
[Israeli] Minister, Danny Ayalon, told Israel Radio that those nations should
“declare today that the talks have failed.” After such a declaration, if Iran
does not halt its nuclear program, “it will be clear that all options are on
the table,” Mr. Ayalon said, not only for Israel, but also for the United
States and NATO… Asked how long
the Iranians should be given to cease all nuclear activity, Mr. Ayalon said “weeks, and not more than that.”…
The comments came after a frenzy of newspaper articles and television reports
over the weekend here suggesting that Mr. Netanyahu had all but made the
decision to attack Iran unilaterally this fall…

* Boston.com had this
AP report posted up on their website Sunday and this report goes in part
like this. …One indirect indication came Sunday, when Israel's military began sending mock text
messages to cellphones warning of incoming missiles, part of a nationwide
experiment that is to continue through Thursday and reach hundreds of thousands
of cellphone users. Last week, defense officials confirmed that Israel's
top-tier missile defense system has been upgraded… "All threats directed
at the Israeli home front are dwarfed by another threat, different in its
magnitude and substance, and so I have repeated and shall repeat: Iran must not
be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
told his Cabinet on Sunday…
