UPDATE- Abu Musab al-Zarqawi wounded

Nothing has changed since Tuesday's Internet announcement that Abu Maysara al-Iraqi had been wounded. The announcement said al-Zarqawi had been wounded and that Muslims should pray for him.

Replacement of the Jordanian-born militant as leader of the group is becoming a hot topic as to whether the terrorist is dead or alive. On Thursday a Web statement said a Saudi Arabian militant known as Abu Hafs al-Gerni had been made the group's replacement, "Deputy of the Holy Warriors," until al-Zarqawi recovered. It was just a short time later that a rival statement appeared on the Web rebutting suggestions that a replacement had been chosen. U.S. officials still say they could not confirm reports of al-Zarqawi's death or wounding one way or the other.

Bottom-line is this… With all the widespread speculation about Zarqawi's fate and conflicting claims about who is running al-Qaida in Iraq can only suggest but one thing... Much confusion and an on going power struggle within Iraq's most lethal terror group is now well on its way. This is great news for us and bad, BAD news for Zarqawi's followers.
