White House spokesman Scott McClellan got drilled with questions Monday by an over rude... out of control... feeding frenzy Press.
It was so strange to me to listen to them going on and on and on and on and on... about why it took nearly 24 hours before any word of the incident was disclosed. (Like it was some kind of great big Watergate Cover-up conspiracy or something.)
Scott McClellan said over and over and rightly so I might add... that the first priority was to make sure the shooting victim, 78-year-old attorney Harry Whittington, was getting the medical care he needed...
Ok... Maybe the White House should have “shot out” a short Press Release on the accident a little sooner than they did... but the news got out there soon enough.
Anyway... not once did I hear anyone in the press ask how Mr. Whittington was doing. Not once!!! They seemed to care less about that kind of info and instead kept trying to drum up some kind of conspiracy theory. Maybe I’m missing something here but I don’t think so...
