DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Baghdad, Iraq, on May 14, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 312th Regiment, 30th Enhanced Separate Brigade, Clinton, N.C.
Killed were:
Chief Warrant Officer 4, John W. Engeman, 45, of East North Port, N.Y.
Master Sgt. Robert H. West, 37, of Elyria, Ohio
