The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Wayne M. Geiger, 23, of Lone Pine, Calif. died October 18th in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to 3rd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany.
