Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto, prevented from leading a protest rally a day earlier, [and temporarily put under house arrest,] left her house Saturday to join demonstrations against a state of emergency as the government set a one month deadline for its removal... Bhutto joined journalists angry over a media blackout imposed on all independent news channels since November 3 has limited broadcasts of the festering political crisis, although anyone with satellite service can receive some of the barred networks, which include CNN...
