The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Capt. Benjamin D. Tiffner, 31, of West Virginia, died November 7th in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when he was struck by an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Campbell, Ky.
