* MSNBC gets us started this Sunday with some good reporting that starts off like this... Egypt's vice president met a broad representation of major opposition groups for the first time Sunday and offered new concessions including freedom of the press, release of those detained since anti-government protests began nearly two weeks ago and the eventual lifting of the country's hated emergency laws... Two of the groups that attended the meeting said this was only a first step in a dialogue which has yet to meet their central demand — the immediate ouster of longtime President Hosni Mubarak...

Protesters braved rainy weather as they spent the night in downtown Cairo's Tahrir Square and kept up their unrelenting pressure on President Hosni Mubarak to quit now. Though the protesters were upbeat after learning that the top executive committee of Egypt's ruling Democratic Party, including Mubarak's son Gamal Mubarak, have resigned, the demonstrators were not ready to back-off till Mubarak steps down... The nearly two-weeks of anti-Mubarak protests in Egypt entered its 13th day on Sunday... Tahrir Square continued to be the hub of the protests against Mubarak...

Senior members of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak’s ruling party resigned yesterday, but demonstrators staging a 12th day of anti-regime protests rejected the shuffle as a cosmetic measure... The resignations came after Mubarak huddled with his new government for the first time, and an official said that the country’s stock exchange would remain closed indefinitely as the standoff continues...
