Let’s see what is going on over in Israel these last few hours.
The Independent is reporting... Israeli leaders today authorized the army to send troops into residential areas of Gaza and gave the green light for the military to push ahead with a plan to create a buffer zone meant to prevent militants from firing rockets into Israel. Read story HERE

Israel has stepped up pressure Wednesday on Hamas militants who launched improved, longer range rockets into the heart of a major Israeli city, authorizing the army to enter populated areas in the northern Gaza Strip. Jpost.com is reporting an Israeli tank shell hit a car carrying reporters from the Al-Jazeera Arabic satellite TV channel on Wednesday night in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya... Read this story HERE

Another take on this... and probably the correct one... goes as follows... Witnesses say a car carrying reporters from the Al-Jazeera Arabic Satellite TV Channel came under fire by militants in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahia. One of the wounded reporters, Wael Dahdouh, said the militants apparently believed the car to be carrying undercover Israeli agents. Read this story in full at haaretz.com
