The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Petty Officer Third Class Mark R. Cannon, 31, of Lubbock, Texas died October 2nd while conducting combat operations in Kunar Province, Afghanistan. Cannon was a hospital corpsman assigned to 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
