The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Lt. Col. Richard J. Berrettini, 52, of Wilcox, Pa., died January 11th in San Antonio of wounds suffered on January 2nd in Khowst Province, Afghanistan, when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard Medical Detachment, Erie Clinic, Erie, Pa.
