*** OPEN-ENDED POST START ***
Politics is in full force and there is no end in sight to the dying of the survivors inside the bowels of New Orleans.
Let’s get it going today FEMA- “Walk for Life” Get the places set up and let the evacuees know, for certain, where to go today…
Houston Astrodome full and ordered to close its doors to any more survivors from New Orleans. San Antonio has come through for us though… (It just seems to be one big problem after another for these poor people.)
The Governor of Louisiana has sicced some of this country’s finest, (at least a 100 or so of them, just back from Iraq,) on those lawless Bastards inside the City of New Orleans. They have her blessings to shoot to kill if need be… I hope they kill as many as possible of those Killing- Raping- Carjacking- Robbing- Shooting at people who are trying to help rescue the sick- young and elder.........
**CODE 108- “OFFICER NEEDS HELP” is at this very moment, 11:30 am CDT, finally being answered in the BIG EASY.........
At this very moment- Many a mile long convoys are arriving into the City… One behind the other… Thanks America… The end to the beginning has finally started… It’s not a “Walk for Life”… Their calling it… “Help is On the Way” and that has finally started in the form of miles of truck loads of Food- Water- Troops and other Aid… Busses by the miles to bring out the survivors of Katrina that have been stuck in New Orleans for these last days of hell!!!!!!
** President Bush is on the scene getting a first hand look and briefings from those on the ground in all the Disaster Areas…
** The primary focus remains on life-saving efforts in the hurricane-struck areas. The U. S. Coast Guard reported rescuing more than 3,000 people off rooftops and flooded neighborhoods since the hurricane made landfall. In addition, 113 DoD helicopters, about half from the National Guard and half from active-duty Navy, Army and Air Force units, were continuing to support search and recovery missions today.
U. S. Transportation Command is providing medical airlift support for patients in need of medical care. Among units supporting that effort are two aeromedical evacuation crews from the 932nd Airlift Wing at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

** At last count, 400 Army Corps of Engineers employees are in New Orleans, working with other authorities to drain water trapped in the city while helping to repair gaps in the levee system that partially gave way during Hurricane Katrina, Army Lt. Gen. Carl Strock said today.
"The task at hand now is to drain the city and create the conditions where recovery can begin to take place," he said. Water levels in the city have stabilized, the general said, and except for tidal fluctuations, aren't expected to rise. However, he stressed the importance of repairing two breaches in the levees along Lake Pontchartrain to protect the city from any follow-on storms. ( Read more by Donna Miles)
** Again I’ll end by asking everyone to say their prayers for the victims of this massive storm-- but always say one for the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who have paid the ultimate price for freedom…
Good night my friends,
