AVGANI, Iraq

Iraqi Police from the Ninewa city of Avgani discovered a cache of weapons and explosives in a white four door pickup truck near the Iraq/Syria border Saturday.
Soldiers from Company C, 3rd Battalion, 4th Cavalry Regiment and the Joint Coordination Center reported that the cache contained a machine gun, more than a dozen rocket-propelled grenades, several assault rifles, hand grenades, several sticks of TNT and an unknown amount of homemade explosive powder.
The explosives and truck were removed from the scene for further investigation.
