The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Scott D. Dykman, 27, of Helena, Mont., died December 20th in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.
