The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Brandon T. Thorsen, 22, of Trenton, Fla., died September 15th in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident September 14th in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
