The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Cpl. Travis M. Woods, 21, of Redding, Calif., died September 9th from wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in Northern Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to3rd Battalion, 1stMarine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
