The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Christopher F. Pfeifer, 21, of Spalding, Neb., died September 25th in San Antonio, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire August 17th near Kamu, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Schweinfurt, Germany.
