The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. Mark W. Graham, 22, of Lafayette, La., died March 7th at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his unit while on combat patrol March 2nd in Baghdad, Iraq. Graham was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
