The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Daniel E. Woodcock, 25, of Glennallen, Alaska, died March 11th, in Ad Dawr, Iraq, of wounds suffered from a building explosion while on combat patrol. Woodcock was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
