The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Juan S. Restrepo, 20, of Pembroke Pines, Fla., died July 22nd in Korengal Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, Vicenza, Italy.
