The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Michelle R. Ring, 24, of Martin, Tenn., died July 5th of wounds sustained from enemy mortar fire in Baghdad, Iraq. She was assigned to the 92d Military Police Battalion, Fort Benning, Ga.
