The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Ronald L. Coffelt, 36, of Fair Oaks, Calif., died July 19th in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 503rd Military Police Battalion, 16th Military Police Brigade (Airborne), XVIII Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, N.C.
