No. 240-07 March 02, 2007DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died February 27th in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle. They were assigned to the 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y.
Killed were:
Sgt. Richard A. Soukenka, 30, of Oceanside, Calif.
Cpl. Lorne E. Henry, Jr., 21, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Spc. Jonathan D. Cadavero, 24, of Takoma Park, Md.
