The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. William L. Edwards, 23, of Houston, died August 11th in Arab Jabour, Iraq, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
