No. 517-08 June 19, 2008DoD Identifies Navy Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two sailors who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Killed were:
Hospitalman Marc A. Retmier, 19, of Hemet, Calif.
Petty Officer First Class Ross L. Toles III, 37, of Davison, Mich.
Both died June 18th as a result of wounds suffered from an enemy rocket attack in northern Paktika province, Afghanistan.
They were assigned to Provincial Reconstruction Team Sharana in Afghanistan.
