Hurricane Beta- Update Sunday, October 30, 2005

As of 1 PM EST...
Hurricane Beta has moved in and weakening… but the rainfall threat continues… Beta’s Maximum Sustained Winds have decreased and are now near 75 MPH… with higher gust… Beta is a Category ONE Hurricane and is expected to RAPIDLY WEAKEN during the day… and the CIRCULATION IS EXPECTED to DISSIPATE over Nicaragua by tomorrow… Estimated Minimum Central Pressure was 990 MB. Beta is moving toward the west-southwest near 7 mph... A generally west-southwestward motion is expected during the next 24 hours. This track will take the center of Beta farther inland over Nicaragua...
