Hurricane Wilma- Update Wednesday, October 19, 2005
As of 11:00 PM EDT, Hurricane Wilma had maximum sustained winds of near 155 MPH with higher gust… Some Fluctuations in intensity are expected during the next 24 hours. Wilma is a STRONG Category FOUR Hurricane and could regain Category Five Intensity on Thursday.

Special Note: Earlier this morning... Wilma had maximum sustained winds of 175mph with higher gust and data from a Reconnaissance Aircraft had estimated a minimum pressure of 882 MB. This was the Lowest Minimum Pressure ever measured in a Hurricane in the Atlantic Basin... Yet... as of 11:00 PM EDT, the estimated Minimum Central Pressure was 894 MB. Also a major heads up to our friends in Florida… All interest it the Florida Keys and the Florida Peninsula should closely monitor the progress of this Extremely Dangerous Hurricane Wilma…
