The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pvt. Clarence T. Spencer, 24, of San Diego, died February 4th in Balad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with the enemy using small arms fire in Baqubah, Iraq. Spencer was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.For further information in regard to this release the media can contact the Fort Hood public affairs office at (254) 287-9993.
