Iraqi government ready to take over security once Britain pullouts

The Iraqi government said on Thursday it was ready to take over security in southern Iraq once Britain withdraws 1600 troops in the coming months, but insisted that British forces would still be needed for support...

I agree with the Bush Administration... this is very good news on the progress in Iraq. I just pray that whatever troops the Brits leave behind, after the draw downs, can keep check on Iran and Hizballah by keeping them out of that part of the county.

Last thing in the world we need is another Lebanon in the making. Especially when we can stop it from the get-go.


This is the kind of realities the Dems just can’t, or want, grasp...
