The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Justin T. Paton, 24, of Alanson, Mich., died February 17th in Taramia, Iraq, when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire. Paton was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
