The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lance Cpl. Matthew P. Pathenos, 21, of Ballwin, Mo., died February 7th while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. Pathenos was assigned to Marine Forces Reserve's 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Bridgeton, Mo.
