The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Richard L. Ford, 40, of East Hartford, Conn., died February 20th in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered during combat operations. Ford was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 325th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
