The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Jeremy D. Barnett, 27, of Mineral City, Ohio, died February 24th at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany, of wounds sustained from a landmine detonation in Ad-Dujayl, Iraq, on Feb. 21. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.For more information on this Soldier, contact the Fort Hood public affairs office at (254) 287-9993.
