The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Jon E. Bonnell Jr., 22, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, died Aug. 7th from wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He was assigned to1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
