4- HURRICANE IKE - Post Date: September 12-13, 2008

* Hurricane Ike *
Special Note: Just before 1:00am CDT Saturday morning, the Eye of Hurricane Ike finally started passing over Galveston Island. At this time Ike was still a very dangerous Category Two Hurricane with winds of 110 mph with higher gust. (Ike would be a Cat 3 Hurricane if it had winds of 111 mph or better.)

Now that IKE has already landed this early morning... and is now MOVING towards my part of the woods, (Shreveport, LA) ... I’ll start posting some useful links and info for my family, friends and fellow neighbors in and around the ark-la-tex area.

Our prayers go out to all of those that have been... or will soon be... in the path of IKE’s destructive force.
