The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Capt. Michael J. Medders, 25, of Ohio, died September 24th in Jisr Naft, Iraq, of wounds suffered when a suicide bomber detonated a vest during operations. He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.
