Several explosive devices planted on the international border with Lebanon in the area of Avivim were uncovered earlier this morning. IDF forces are currently searching the area to neutralize the threat. Iran's Regime Rejects UN Resolution 1737 - Continues To Expand Its Uranium Enrichment Program
Less than three weeks remains before the deadline for UN resolution 1737 calling on the Iranian regime to stop uranium enrichment; head of Regime's Atomic Energy Organization, Gholamreza Aqazadeh said, “We have said all along that we will not abide by the resolution [1737].”

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Staff Sgt. Ronnie L. Sanders, 26, of Thibodaux, La., died February 3rd in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. He was assigned to the 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died February 2nd in Ramadi, Iraq, of injuries sustained when they came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire.
Killed were:
Spc. Alan E. McPeek, 20, of Tucson, Ariz. He was assigned to the 16th Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Giessen, Germany.
Pvt. Matthew T. Zeimer, 18, of Glendive, Mont. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died February 1st in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a vehicular accident. They were assigned to the 57th Military Police Company, 8th Military Police Brigade, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, U.S. Army Pacific, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The incident is under investigation.
Killed were:
Pfc. David C. Armstrong, 21, of Zanesville, Ohio.
Pfc. Kenneth T. Butler, 21, of East Liverpool, Ohio.

Radio Farda Reports An Iranian Nuclear Scientist May Have Been Assassinated
FOXnews.com has this story today that I found quite interesting. It goes in part like this... A prize-winning Iranian nuclear scientist has died in mysterious circumstances, according to Radio Farda, which is funded by the U.S. State Department and broadcasts to Iran... An intelligence source suggested that Ardeshire Hassanpour, 44, a nuclear physicist, had been assassinated by Mossad, the Israeli security service...
