DoD Identifies Navy Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Travis L. Youngblood, 26, of Surrency, Ga. , died July 21 of wounds received July 15 from an improvised explosive device during combat operations in Hit, Iraq. Youngblood was a hospital corpsman assigned to Naval Hospital Great Lakes, Great Lakes, Ill. , and deployed with the II Marine Expeditionary Force.
