No. 699-07 June 05, 2007DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle during combat operations June 2nd in Baghdad, Iraq. They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.
Killed were:
Sgt. Shawn E. Dressler, 22, of Santa Maria, Calif. He died June 2nd in Baghdad.
Pfc. Joshua D. Brown, 26, of Tampa, Fla. He died June 3rd in Baghdad.
