The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Joseph P. Kenny, 20, of Veneta, Ore., died June 23rd in Mosul, Iraq, of injuries suffered from a non-combat related incident. His death is under investigation.
Kenny was assigned to the 27th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas. For more information related to this release the media may contact the Fort Bliss public affairs office at (915) 568-4505.
