No. 700-07 June 05, 2007DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died June 2nd near Qayyarah, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near their vehicle. They were assigned to the 5th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss, Texas.
Killed were:
Spc. Jeremiah D. Costello, 22, of Carlinville, Ill.
Spc. Keith V. Nepsa, 21, of New Philadelphia, Ohio.
