The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Bruce E. Horner, 43, or Newport News, Va., died June 1st in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire. He was assigned to the 127th Military Police Company, 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Support Command, Fliegerhorst, Germany.
