The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Dariek E. Dehn, 32, of Spangle, Wash., died June 2nd in Sharkat, Iraq, of wounds suffered from an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
